Matthew Perry Last Note: Lisa Kudrow, beloved for her role as Phoebe Buffay on Friends, recently shared an emotional moments with her fans when she revealed she had discovered a hidden note from her late co-star, Matthew Perry. Nearly a year after Perry’s tragic death, Kudrow found the note, tucked away inside a cookie jar prop that perry had gifted her.
During her appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Kudrow, visibly emotional, recounted the moment of discovery. “Matthew gave that to me at the end of our last episode,” she shared, referring to the iconic “Cookie Time” jar. Though she had never opened the jar before, Kudrow admitted the she forgotten about the note until recently. “I had recently found the note that he had in it for me. I hadn’t opened it up or looked inside of it,” she said. She refrained from revealing the contents of the note but added, “Timing is everything.”
The Cookie Jar’s Story
Kudrow also recalled a humorous moment from an earlier Friends episode involving the same prop. In a 2020 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Kudrow explained the backstory behind the same cookie jar. “My line was, ‘Ohhh, I’m late. I better get going,’ and it was too late when I realized I look at the time. I better get going.” Perry, playing Chandler Bing, chimed in with, “Did you point to the cookie jar and say, ‘Look at the time?'”

Perry’s Gift for Kudrow
At the end of Friends in 2004, Perry gifted Kudrow the cookie jar, a memento that held a special place in their shared memories. Kudrow reminisced, ” think the first thing I asked was, ‘This was so nice- did you get permission?” She laughed, recalling how her car was regularly searched after work, a playful nod to the tight security on set.
Kudrow’s revelation adds another heartfelt layer to the deep bond she shared with Perry, reminding fans of the lasting friendship formed during the iconic show’s run.
