Rajasthan’s left-arm seamer Aniket Choudhary, all-rounder Anirudh Singh, and all-rounder Rohan Rajbhar were named winners of the 29th Mathuradas Mathur Awards in the senior, junior, and sub-junior categories on Friday. The winners were chosen unanimously by the selection committee, which was led by former Ranji player Ved Ahuja, based on their performance during the previous domestic season. Former captain Sanjay Vyas, Sharad Joshi, Vijender Yadav, Rohit Jhalani, and Gaurav Sharma were also on the selection committee.
In the award, 15 thousand rupees in the senior category and seven and a half thousand rupees in the junior category and sub-junior will be given in cash, a certificate of excellence, and a memento.
The award will be presented on September 6, the birth anniversary of late state politician Mathura Das Mathur. The Rajasthan Blues Cricket Club‘s initiative to recognize the best cricketers in Rajasthan is led by former first-class cricketers and former state selector Vinod Mathur.
