Adaa Khan Travel: Adaa Khan frequently travels alone, and the Naagin actress believes it can be a life-changing experience.
“Traveling alone is liberating. It assists you in becoming self-sufficient. As an introvert, I rarely initiate a conversation. When I travel alone, however, I have no choice but to talk to people; I have to make friends. My solo travels have allowed me to grow as a person. It has also taught me to appreciate my own company, which is empowering. You don’t have to be concerned about other people’s schedules. “There’s just you, and it’s very peaceful,” she says.
Solo trips have their own set of challenges. One of the most difficult issues for Adaa is the language barrier. “I recall being in Paris and having planned to take a train to Disneyland. However, everything was written in French. I couldn’t understand anything and ended up taking the wrong train. I’ve been in similar situations in Bulgaria and Italy.
“I now use Google Translate to communicate with people before taking a train or going somewhere,” she explains. According to Adaa, female solo travellers receive a lot of attention, which can be a little intense at times.”
“When people see a girl travelling alone, they come over and try to talk to her,” she adds. But you must correct them. Learn to say ‘no, thank you’ in the local language and be firm; they will not bother you again.”
The actress, who has travelled across countries on her own, now wants to visit India. “I haven’t travelled alone in India because people here recognise me. “However, I intend to take a solo trip to Himachal Pradesh or Uttarakhand soon,” she says.
