At the Oktoberfest celebration, you can drink beer and eat traditional German foods.
The 21st annual Oktoberfest celebration of the Southlake Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for October 14-16 in Southlake Town Square. According to a news release, Oktoberfest Southlake expects 100,000 visitors over the weekend who will enjoy a variety of food, beverages, and booth items such as handcrafted arts and crafts.
According to the release, attendees can expect a variety of events, including wiener dog races, performances by AC/DC tribute band Back in Black and Los Angeles-based band Queen Nation, and a children’s area with a petting zoo. The Oktoberfest website has a complete schedule of live entertainment.
Visitors can also enter to win the Oktober Sweepstakes, which includes a two-night stay at Fredericksburg’s Hangar Hotel and a tour of the Altstadt Brewery. There are no admission or parking fees, so everyone is welcome. According to the release, this year’s event will be cashless and ticketless, accepting debit and credit cards.
White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 185 S. White Chapel Blvd., will provide free shuttle service. The shuttle runs from 4 to 11:15 p.m. 9 a.m.-11:45 p.m. on Friday and Saturday from 1 to 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
