Co-star Akshay Kumar has now responded, praising Saif’s bravery.
Akshay Kumar Applauds Saif’s Courage
During a press event for his upcoming film Sky Force in Delhi, Akshay Kumar lauded Saif’s bravery.
Akshay said, “It’s very nice that he is safe. It’s very good. We are happy. The whole industry is happy that he is safe. It was very brave of him that he protected his family, and hats off to him.”
Adding a lighter note, Akshay quipped,“Meine uske saath ek film ki hai Main Khiladi Tu Anari lekin agli baar agar hum karenge toh banayenge film Tu Khiladi.”

The Unsung Hero: Auto-Rickshaw
In a heartwarming turn of events, the auto-rickshaw driver who transported Saif to the hospital shared his account with ANI. He said, “It was around 2-3 a.m. when I saw a woman trying to hire an auto, but nobody stopped. I heard calls from inside the gate and took a U-turn. A man covered in blood came out with 2-4 others. They put him in my auto, and we rushed to Lilavati Hospital. Later, I realized it was Saif Ali Khan.”
What Happened That Night
The intruder, identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad from Bangladesh’s Jhalokati district, entered Saif’s apartment intending to steal. In the ensuing confrontation, Saif sustained stab wounds to his thoracic spine while protecting his housemaid. Despite the severity of his injuries, Saif’s actions ensured the safety of his family.
