Asif Afridi who is the Pakistani cricketer is handed 2 years ban for breaching the Anti corruption code of PCB.
The player has been breached on the basis of article 2.4.10 which includes Failing to disclose to the PCB Security and Anti-Corruption Department (without unnecessary delay) full details of any approaches or invitations received by the Participant to engage in Corrupt Conduct under this Anti-Corruption Code.
Although the player was selected to play against Australia for home ground matches but on the September 12, 2022 he was suspended so he will not be playing until he comes under the grounds of eligibility.
