Bharti recently discussed her mother’s struggles and the challenges she faced while raising her children in an interview with Pinkvilla. She stated: “At the very young age of 15, my mother got married, and by the time she was 22, she had three kids. My mother was left alone to raise us after my father passed away unexpectedly. My mother received marriage proposals from men who already had two children from a large number of people who advised her to get married once more. She argued that getting married would split her family and refused to do so.”

She continued: “My mother struggled a lot for us while working as a housemaid in factories. Due to my exposure to hardship, I developed before my years. My hands were too small to turn on the lights, so I would have to wait outside my house for my mother, sister, and brother to get home from work “.
She further added, “I’ve experienced a lot of hardships, but I still have faith in God and give him thanks. Although I have never seen God, I have seen him in the people in my family. Even now, whenever I go for a shoot, I think of my mother and the things she said. You can be as terrified as you want to be, but don’t be terrified while performing on stage, she used to advise. My motivation comes from this.”
