Pitt believes the appearance may have been strategically planned to “push his buttons,” particularly in light of their ongoing legal dispute over the Château Miraval estate. A source close to Pitt told Page Six that he finds it suspicious that the appearance coincided with a judge’s ruling allowing the Château trial to proceed, just days before Knox joined Jolie on the red carpet.
The 16-year-old Knox, who hadn’t appeared on a red carpet in three years, was seen posing alongside Jolie at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, with Jolie visibly proud of her son. “Brad finds it a bit coincidental that a judge signed off on the [Château] Miraval trial just days before Knox joined Angelina at the Governors Awards,” the source revealed. “So he really questions her motive for bringing Knox.”

Another insider clarified that Jolie was simply proud to have her son by her side. “He typically prefers to stay out of the spotlight and Angelina respects that decision, but he asked if he could join her, and of course, she was thrilled that he wanted to be there. She couldn’t be more proud of him, and they had a really memorable evening together.”
Pitt Feels Strained Relationship with Kids
This red-carpet appearance is just one chapter in a long-running legal and personal saga between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Earlier this month, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled that the legal battle over the Château Miraval estate could proceed, a significant win for Pitt after Jolie’s efforts to dismiss the case were rejected. Recently, their 18-year-old daughter, Shiloh, legally dropped “Pitt” from her surname, a move that deeply hurt Brad Pitt. “Brad is still feeling hurt that Shiloh dropped Pitt from her last name,” a source shared. “They used to have a good relationship, but that’s in the past, and it breaks his heart. Brad feels like Angelina has turned his kids against him.”
