Baker Mayfield has finally spoken up.
Since being taken first overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, Mayfield, 26, has been Cleveland’s starting quarterback. During his career season in 2020, he guided the Browns to their first playoff victory since 1995. During an injury-plagued season last year, he regressed, throwing for 3,010 yards and 17 touchdowns in 14 games as Cleveland went 8-9.
Mayfield spoke for the first time since the Cleveland Browns acquired Deshaun Watson, a move that signalled the end of his time with the organisation where he was drafted.
“100 percent,” Mayfield remarked on the “YNK” podcast, which was released on Wednesday. I was told one thing and they did something completely different“, said Mayfield.

Mayfield had planned to join the Indianapolis Colts, but they were unable to do so due to the Atlanta Falcons’ acquisition of Matt Ryan. The Seattle Seahawks, who are due to pay Mayfield $18.86 million guaranteed next season, were mentioned on the show as a possible landing point.
