Nora Fatehi’s Heartfelt Update on the Crisis
In a video shared on social media, Nora opened up about the chaos she faced during the evacuation. She said, “Hey guys, so I’m in Los Angeles, and the wildfires are crazy. I’ve never seen anything like this. This is insane. We just got an evacuation order, like five minutes ago. So I quickly packed all my stuff, and I’m evacuating out of this area. I’m gonna go near the airport and chill there because I have a flight today. I really hope I can catch it.”
The actress further expressed her concerns, adding, “I hope it doesn’t get cancelled because this sh is scary. I have never experienced this before so I’m gonna keep you guys updated. Hopefully, I can get out in time. And yeah, I really hope people are safe. Crazy. I’m gonna keep you guys updated.”**

Wildfires Disrupts the Oscars Calendar
The academy announced changes to its voting and nomination schedule due to the catastrophic fires. Voting lines for the nearly 10,000 Academy members, initially set to close on January 12, 2025, will now remain open until January 14, 2025.
Additionally, the nominations announcement has been moved from January 17 to January 19, 2025. As per Variety, the 2025 Oscars, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will still take place on March 3, 2025.
A Message of Support From the Academy
In an email to its members, Academy CEO Bill Kramer shared his condolences, writing, “We want to offer our deepest condolences to those who have been impacted by the devastating fires across Southern California.”
He also emphasized that many industry members reside in the affected areas and extended prayers for their safety.
