Kalki Koechlin Divorce: Actor Kalki Koechlin has candidly spoken about the challenges she faced after her divorce from filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, highlighting the societal hypocrisy she encountered. In a recent interview on AfterHours with All About Eve YouTube channel, Kalki shared how, despite her fame, she struggled to find housing in Mumbai as a single woman.
Reflecting on that period, she said, “When me and Anurag had divorced, those two films were out there – Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Then, there’s this divorce.” Married from 2011 to 2015, Kalki and Anurag separated in late 2013. She revealed, “I couldn’t find a place to live. Nobody would give me a house to rent in Mumbai as a single woman. I was like, I am famous. You want to take selfies with me, but you don’t want to give me a house.”
Balancing Personal and Professional Life
Kalki described how her professional success contrasted sharply with the personal challenges she faced. Following her breakout role in Dev.D (2008), she delivered hits like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. However, her divorce and societal prejudices cast a shadow over her personal life.

Life After Divorce and Motherhood
