Banas River Accident: Eight people died and three were injured after drowning in the Banas river in Tonk district of Rajasthan. Regarding the incident, Tonk District Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan said that 11 people from Jaipur had reached the Banas river in Tonk for a picnic. During this time this accident happened and eight people drowned. The cause of the accident is being discovered. The three youths who survived the accident have been admitted to the hospital, at present their condition remains stable.
Regarding the incident, the Chief Minister of the state Bhajanlal Sharma said that the news of the death due to drowning in the Banas river of Tonk is extremely sad. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the district administration officials were instructed to conduct rescue and relief operations immediately.
