Harry Styles spoke out after cancelling his show in Copenhagen on Sunday, July 3 due to a shooting near the concert venue that killed three people. The 28-year-old “As It Was” singer was scheduled to perform at the Royal Arena as part of his Love On Tour. Harry expressed his “heartbreak” at the tragic news on Twitter and asked his fans to “please look after each other.”
Shortly after the attack, police arrested a 22-year-old man suspected of being the shooter. The attack reportedly killed two 17-year-olds, a 47-year-old, and left four people hospitalized. Sren Thomassen, a police inspector in Copenhagen, told reporters that there was no evidence that anyone else was involved in the shooting, but that it was too early to speculate on a motive. “There is nothing in our investigation, the documents we have reviewed, the things we have discovered, or the witness statements we have obtained that can substantiate that this is an act of terrorism,” Thomassen stated.

He went on to say that at 5.37 pm, police received reports of a shooting at the Fields mall on the outskirts of the capital city. According to witnesses, some people hid in shops and bathrooms as shots rang out, while others fled in a panicked stampede, according to the Associated Press. The suspect, who Thomassen said is known to Danish mental health providers, was apprehended 11 minutes later.
