Junaid Khan Dyslexia: Junaid Khan, who made his debut last year with Maharaja, opened up about a deeply personal chapter of his life in a candid interview with Vickey Lalwani. The actor shared how his parents, Bollywood icon Aamir Khan and producer Reena Datta, discovered his dyslexia while reading the script of the iconic film Taare Zameen Par.

Diagnosed at the Age of Six
Junaid revealed that he was diagnosed with dyslexia when he was just six years old. Speaking about his childhood and his parents’ approach, he said, “Neither of my parents were particular (about my results)…. I was also diagnosed with dyslexia very early on. So, I think they were mindful of that, especially in schooling.”
The Taare Zameen Par Connection
While discussing how his parents discovered his learning condition, Junaid shared an interesting twist. Contrary to popular belief, the film wasn’t inspired by his diagnosis. Instead, it was the other way around. Junaid said, “Actually, I think it was a little bit the other way around. When they heard the script of Taare Zameen Par, they were like, ‘Ek second…We have seen this in or lives.’ And actually, it was at that point that they took me to a specialist, and I was diagnosed with dyslexia.”
Upcoming Projects for Junaid
Junaid is carving his own path in Bollywood. He will next be seen in Loveyapa, opposite Khushi Kapoor, slated for release on February 7. Later this year, he will also star in a film alongside Sai Pallavi.
