The youngest member of BTS took home the award for Top K-pop Album with his debut solo album, marking a significant milestone in his career. Additionally, Jungkook won the Top Global K-pop Song award for his title track. Interestingly, Jungkook had been nominated twice for the Top Global K-pop Song category, with his second nomination coming from another song on his album.
These wins are even more impressive considering that Jungkook is currently serving his mandatory military service, which began in December 2023. He is expected to reunite with BTS in June 2025.
Taehyung’s Holiday Chart Success
Taehyung, also known as V, achieved another remarkable feat by topping the Billboard Holiday Digital Song Sales chart with his single Winter Ahead. The track, a collaboration with ballad singer Park Hyo Shin, outshone Mariah Carey’s legendary holiday anthem All I Want for Christmas Is You. This achievement highlights Taehyung’s continued success as a solo artist, with Winter Ahead now being the bestselling holiday track on the chart.
