Kane Brown‘s highly anticipated third studio album, KB3, has been completed, and the country star has revealed what fans can expect from the album, as well as what he plans to do with all of the ‘PG-13’ pop songs he has yet to release!
Kane Brown told Hollywood Life in an EXCLUSIVE interview ahead of his sold-out, two-night Blessed & Free tour performances at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut that for this album, “we definitely tried to stay in the country lane.” Simultaneously, he admitted to having “a lot of good pop songs” that he’s been “holding onto for a while“.
Kane elaborated. “I don’t release pop music by myself.” It’s difficult to find different artists who will agree to do a song unless they wrote it or were involved in the writing process. So I’m just keeping the songs“.
“A feature is a kind of like, he didn’t do it by himself, so it’s not really him,” Kane Brown explained. That’s the main thing, but when you release a pop song solo, everyone is like, ‘He’s gone.’ He left the country,” but promised that would never happen to him. “I’ll always be a country .” That’s where my roots have always been.”
Kane recalled his debut album’s song “Learning,” which tells the story of his stepfather’s abuse and how his grandmother practically raised him. “I’ve got another pop song called ‘I’ve Been There,’ and it’s kind of like ‘Learning,” he told “With pop, I feel like I can be a little more edgy and say more things.” Not cussing, but saying more things. I can get some more PG!”
