During a session at Agenda Aaj Tak 2024, Kartik opened up about the incident that happened during the casting process for Chandu Champion. When asked if he had ever lied to get a film, Kartik candidly revealed how he misrepresented his swimming skills to impress Kabir Khan.
“I had already read the script and really loved it. So When Kabir sir asked me if i knew how professional swimming, I lied and said that I do. In reality, I could only do enough to keep myself afloat,” he shared.
Kartik Tried Hard To Cover His Lie
Despite the initial fib, Kartik Made sure to make up for it with relentless effort. He underwent an intense physical transformation and dedicated himself to learning professional swimming. “One and a half minutes of lying cost me one and a half years,” he joked. In the film, Kartik is seen swimming and even winning a medal, showcasing his hard- earned skills.
