However, the inclusion of Jani Master‘s name sparked immediate outrage, given his recent legal controversies.

Why the Backlash?
For the uninitiated, Jani Master was booked earlier this year under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act. A former female employee accused the celebrated choreographer of rape and mental harassment, alleging the incidents occurred when she was just 16 years old. Although Jani Master is currently out on bail, the allegations led to his National Film Award being suspended by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Kiara’s mention of Jani Master in the post didn’t sit well with netizens , who called out her apparent carelessness in applauding someone with such grave accusations against him. The backlash was swift, prompting the actress to quietly edit her caption, removing his name entirely.

Kiara’s caption edit didn’t go unnoticed. While some applauded her late but necessary damage control, others felt it was too little, too late.
