Konkona Sen Commercial Movies: Actress Konkona Sen Sharma is very particular about commercial movies and kind of movies she likes to be part of. She is the industry from very long time and did remarkable acing in films like Wake Up Sid, Aaja Nachle, Lipstick Under My Burkha, etc.
In an interview, she said, “I don’t think commercial (cinema) because that’s not my space. I don’t relate to it myself because I didn’t grow up watching it. So I don’t have that kind of nostalgia or attachment or some childhood memory to it, either. I would like to be part of films like- Mira Nair’s films.”

I feel at home in ‘Monsoon Wedding’ or ‘Namesake’ or like those kind of films one feels at home like in my mother’s films.”
Her performance in Wake Up Sid is still alive in the hearts of audience and she is still appreciated on her work “I am always amazed by the love I get for ‘Wake Up Sid.’ I can’t tell you, for Aisha Banerjee, for the ‘Ektara’ song, people are still sending me DMs. They are singing ‘Ektara’ and saying, ‘This is for you, Konkona.’ It’s very touching. I appreciate it because I haven’t done commercial films like that,” Konkona said.
Talking about her work front, she will be seen in Killer Soup with actor Manoj Bajpayee, directed by Abhishek Chaubhey, released on January 11th. The actress will also be seen in her upcoming movie Metro In Dino, directing by Anurag Basu releasing on September 13th,this year.
