The second season of Legends League Cricket will begin next month. A special charity match, India Maharajas vs. World Giants, will take place prior to the tournament. The meeting is scheduled for September 16, 2022.
This match has been scheduled to commemorate India’s 75th year of independence. The match was originally scheduled for August 22, but it had to be rescheduled due to international cricket fixtures.
Both teams’ squads have been announced by their respective teams. The historic match will feature many former legendary players. Former India captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly will lead the Indian team. Popular veteran players for India include Virendra Sehwag, Mohammed Kaif, Yusuf Pathan, and Irfan Pathan, among others.
Former England captain Eoin Morgan will captain the Rest of the World team. Former players include Jacques Kallis, Sanath Jayasuriya, Jonty Rodes, Brett Lee, and Muttiah Muralitharan. The Legends League Cricket 2 Tournament will begin on September 17th, following this special charity match of f of the World.
During Legends League Cricket Season 2, a total of 15 matches will be played over the course of 22 days.
As the official broadcaster of Legends League Cricket Season 2, Sony Sports Network will also air the inaugural game between India Legends and the Rest of the World.
The online live streaming will be available on the Sony Liv app and website, but users will need to subscribe to watch the game live.
