Malaika Arora Arjun Kapoor: After much speculation, Malaika Arora has finally addressed ex-boyfriend Arjun Kapoor‘s viral “I am single” comment. Speaking to Etimes, Malaika opened up about the challenging year gone by and hinted at her readiness to embrace a fresh start in 2024.
Calling Arjun’s statement his “prerogative“, Malaika maintained her characteristic poise, saying, “I am a very private person, and there are certain aspects of my life which I don’t want to elaborate on much. I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative.”
The actress went on to reflect on the year’s emotional ups and downs: “Yes, it has been a very trying year for various reasons. I think it is time for all of us to move on form whatever transpired in the year that went by. I am ready for the New Year and a new start in my life.”
Arjun Kapoor confirms Breakup at a Public Event
Arjun Kapoor, who dated since 2018, first confirmed their break up during the promotions of his film Singham Again. When asked about his relationship status, he candidly told the paparazzi, “Nahin, ab main single hoon, relax karo (No, I am now single. Relax).”
The two, known for keeping their relationship mostly private, shared glimpses of their romance through cozy vacation pictures over the years. Their split earlier this year marked the end of an era for fans who had rooted for the couple.
Despite the Breakup, Bonds Remain
