Manoj Muntashir Maaye Song: The team behind Akshay Kumar‘s upcoming film Sky Force is facing heat from lyricist- screenwriter Manoj Muntashir, who has accused the makers of sidelining his contribution to the song Maaye. Taking to social media, Manoj expressed his frustration and issued a stern warning of legal action.
What Sparked Manoj’s Outrage?
On Tuesday, Jio Studios unveiled the teaser for Maaye, calling it “The Anthem of Heroes”. Sung by B Praak with music by Tanishk Bagchi, the brief clip credited the duo but made no mention of Manoj Muntashir as the lyricist. The caption tagged Manoj but left his name missing form the teaser credits.
The caption read, “Maaye- An ode to the bravesthearts who gave it all defend their motherland. Presenting #Maaye, The Anthem of Heroes, out tomorrow. #SkyForce releasing in cinemas this Republic Week, on 24th January 2025.”

Manoj Muntashir’s Strong Reaction
Unhappy with the lack of recognition, Manoj took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his anger. He wrote, “Please note @jiostudios, @MaddockFilms @Saregamaglobal. This song is not just sung and composed but also written by someone who has given all his blood and sweat to it.”
He further added, “Removing writers name from the opening credits shows utter disrespect for the craft, “Removing writers name from the opening credits shows utter disrespect for the craft and fraternity by the makers. If it’s not corrected immediately, including the main song releasing tomorrow, I am going to disown the song and make sure my voice is heard by the law of the land. Shame. @IPRSmusic.”
