Nicholas Latifi is one of the few North American drivers to compete in Formula One. The Iranian-Canadian driver currently competes for the Williams Racing team under the Canadian flag, wearing the number 6 on his car.
Growing up in Toronto, Nicholas Latifi developed an early interest in motorsport. At the age of 13, he began karting professionally. Here he honed his skills and progressed through the various leagues in North America and Europe. Latifi competed in a number of races over the years, finishing second in the Formula 2 Championship. This enabled him to secure a spot on the cash-strapped Williams team until the 2022 season.

Who Does Nicholas Latifi Drive For?
On May 5, 2016, Nicholas Latifi drove his first Formula 1 car, completing 140 laps at Silverstone in the Renault-powered Lotus E20.
His first test in modern Formula 1 machinery occurred on May 17, 2017 at the post-race test in Barcelona, where he drove the Renault R.S.17 for 141 laps. He would perform another team test at the Hungaroring.
Nicholas Latifi made it to Formula One. Latifi struggled while driving alongside George Russell in 2020. Nicholas Latifi will return to the Williams team for his third season in Formula One in 2022.
Has Nicholas Latifi Won A Race?
Latifi finished 14th in an incident-filled race at the Miami Grand Prix 2022, his best finish to that point. He finished 16th in the Spanish Grand Prix. With DAMS, he finished second in the 2019 Formula 2 Championship.
