Ranbir Kapoor Speaks About Brahmastra: Ranbir Kapoor recently shared how Brahmastra holds a unique place in his life, reflecting his journey with Alia Bhatt. He revealed that the couple started dating during the film’s shoot. “We started dating during the film’s shooting. We got married and had a daughter, Raha Kapoor, by the time the film was released,” Ranbir explained. He called Brahmastra “special” for capturing such significant moments in their personal lives. Excitement for Brahmastra Sequels
Ranbir also discussed the future of the Brahmastra franchise, specifically its sequels. He mentioned that part two is currently in the writing stage and hinted at the exciting developments ahead. “Part one was called Shiva, part two is called Dev. We haven’t really announced the cast yet; that’s something very exciting also,” he shared. Ranbir also expressed his long-standing friendship with director Ayan Mukerji, who he has worked with on multiple films, including Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra. “It was one of the first few films of that nature, especially for Indian cinema. We have explored, and we’ve touched upon certain ideas, but it has potential to really really grow more in the coming parts,” he added.
Alia’s Special Role in the Film
When asked about working alongside his wife Alia Bhatt, Ranbir smiled and said, “Yes, Alia.” He reflected on the journey they experienced together during the film, stating, “We started dating during the film. We got married, and we had a baby by the release of the film, so this whole kind of Brahmastra kind of shows us our journey together. It is special, yeah.” Ranbir also confirmed that Alia will indeed be part of the second installment, saying, “Of course.”
About Brahmastra and its Franchise
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, directed by Ayan Mukerji, was released in September 2022. The film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, made waves in Indian cinema. Shah Rukh Khan also made a cameo appearance, adding to the excitement surrounding the film.
