In one of her YouTube Vlogs, Ratan Rajput discussed her time on the casting couch, saying, “It was 14 years ago today. I’d recently relocated to Mumbai. A 60–65 year old man was there. He made fun of me. “Look at your skin, look at your hair, look at how they are dressed,” he said. You need to alter your complete appearance. You need a thorough makeover, which will cost between 2 and 2.5 lakh rupees. However, why should I pay for you? You must declare me your godfather if you want me to give you money. You must become my friend.”
Ratan Rajput said, “When I heard these things, I was shocked. I informed him that you would be the same age as my father, so how could we be friends? Yes, I do value you. I’ll follow your advice. Take note of what I say. The man then became irate with me. He then said, “I won’t do anything for free, only friendship happens here.” Stop all this drama if you want to enter the acting industry. Be a little bit wise.
She then stated something so startling that Ratan couldn’t believe what he had just said. “When I informed them that you are my father’s age, they were upset and began yelling, “Listen. I would have slept with my daughter too if she had become an actress. Hearing this startled me. As soon as I could, I fled. The man didn’t physically harm me, but his remarks had a negative impact. For a month, I didn’t see anyone,” she admitted.
Ratan Rajput even admitted that if she ran into that producer today, she would slap a shoe in his face. She was traumatised by the event, and she avoided people for up to a month. Even after that, the actress admitted she never tried out for a movie again.
