At the event, Rekha was seen interacting with Ranbir Kapoor and Agastya Nanda. A heartwarming clip of Rekha hugging Agastya and gently holding his face has gone viral on social media where Rekha appears to pay him a compliment, as Agastya bowed down to her, folding his hands in a namaste gesture as a mark of respect and admiration.
Earlier in the evening, Rekha was spotted gazing at a poster of Raj Kapoor and appeared emotional. Undoubtedly reflecting on the legendary filmmaker’s legacy, she seemed deeply moved by the moment.
Agastya Nanda Joins the Celebration
Agastya Nanda attended the RK film Festival with his mother, Shewta Bachchan, and sister, Navya Naveli Nanda. The Nandas share a connection with the Kapoor family through Ritu Nanda, Raj Kapoor’s daughter and their paternal grandmother.
RK Film Festival: A tribute to Raj Kapoor
PVR INOX theatres are screening these films across 40 cities, turning the festival into a national celebration. The Kapoor clan, along with Neetu Kapoor, posed for a memorable family photo at the event. The three- day event, which began on Friday, will showcase ten of Raj Kapoor’s iconic films, including Aag, Barsaat, Awaara, Shree 420, Jagte Raho, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Sangam, Mera Naam Joker, Bobby, and Ram Teri Ganga Maili.
Star- Studded Attendance
Apart from the Kapoor family, the RK Film Festival saw attendance from Bollywood celebrities, including Mahesh Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Boney Kapoor, Rashik Dugal, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, and Padmini Kolhapure. The gathering highlighted the reverence Bollywood holds for Raj Kapoor and his unparalleled legacy in Indian cinema.
Agastya Nanda’s Career So Far
Agastya Nanda, who debuted with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies on Netflix India, is now preparing for his big- screen debut. Although his debut film received mixed reviews, Agastya has already moved on to his next project. He will play the lead in Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis, a biopic of 1971 war hero Arun Khetarpal. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film also feature Dharmendra in a pivotal role.
