In a candid interview, she revealed that Rishi Kapoor had two dreams he longed to see fulfilled: his son Ranbir Kapoor’s marriage and the completion of their family home in Bandra. While both wishes came true after his untimely passing in 2020, Riddhima expressed bittersweet emotions over his absence during these significant milestones.
Riddhima shared, “His last two wishes were getting Ranbir married and getting the house ready. The house is almost ready, and Ranbir is married. It was very, very emotional for us. I really wish he was here with us, but I guess God had other plans.” She further reminisced about her father’s love for grand celebrations, recalling how he had personally organized her elaborate wedding. However, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt opted for a more intimate ceremony when they tied the knot in 2022.

Riddhima explained the couple’s decision, saying, “They said, ‘We just want people who matter to us, people we are in touch with every single day, and we want to have a good time ourselves.’ And they did. Both of them were beaming with joy. They thoroughly enjoyed their wedding, meeting everyone and spending time with them.” Ranbir and Alia were already in a relationship when Rishi Kapoor passed away. Their intimate wedding ceremony was attended only by close friends and family, reflecting their wish to keep the celebration personal and meaningful.
Meanwhile, the Kapoor family’s Bandra home, a cherished project of Rishi Kapoor, is now nearing completion after years of construction. The family looks forward to seeing it finished, fulfilling yet another of the late actor’s dreams.
