Salman Khan Maharashtra Election 2024: Amid heightened security concerns, Salman Khan arrived at the Mount Mary School polling booth in Mumbai on Wednesday to cast his vote in the ongoing Maharashtra Assembly Elections. The actor, undeterred by recent threats, made a public appearance that quickly caught the attention of fans and media.

Salman Casts His Vote

Dressed in a casual grey t-shirt, jeans, and a black cap, Salman arrived at the polling booth with heavy security accompanying him. Several videos shared online show the actor greeting his fans with smiles and flying kisses. He even took a moment to pose with a few admirers, maintaining a cheerful demeanor throughout. His father, Salim Khan, and brother, Arbaaz Khan, were also seen casting their votes earlier in the day.

Ongoing Threats Against Salman

Salman Khan is currently under increased security after receiving multiple threats, reportedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Earlier this month, a new threat message directed at Salman warned of dire consequences over a song allegedly connecting the actor to the gangster. The fifth such threat in recent weeks, the message demanded Salman either apologize or pay ₹5 crore to ensure his safety. The actor’s security measures have since been significantly enhanced.

Maharashtra Elections 2024

Voting for the single-phase Maharashtra Election 2024 began on Wednesday, with polling across 288 assembly constituencies. The BJP is contesting 149 seats, Shiv Sena 81, and the NCP 59. The Congress has fielded 101 candidates, while other major and minor parties are also competing. Approximately 9.7 crore registered voters are expected to participate. Despite the tense circumstances surrounding him, Salman Khan’s public appearance highlighted his commitment to civic duty and his enduring popularity among fans.
