Shahrukh Khan Quit Smoking: Bollywood’s “King Khan,” Shahrukh Khan, surprised fans with a major revelation during a meet-and-greet event on his birthday, November 2. Known for his candid confessions about his smoking habit, the actor delighted fans by announcing that he has officially quit smoking.
“There’s good news – I’m not smoking anymore, guys,” SRK shared, sparking cheers and applause from the crowd. A video of the moment, captured by a fan, quickly went viral on Twitter. In the clip, SRK admits that he still occasionally feels breathless despite quitting smoking, saying, “Mujhe laga tha ki I will not feel so breathless, but abhi bhi feel kar raha hoon.” He ended on a hopeful note, adding, “Inshallah, woh bhi theek ho jayega” (By God’s grace, that will also be fine).
Over the years, SRK has often joked about his habits, once humorously confessing in a 2011 interview that he smoked close to 100 cigarettes a day, drank 30 cups of coffee, and sometimes neglected food and water. “The less I take care of myself, the more I get taken care of,” he quipped back then in an interview with India Today.
On the professional front, Shahrukh Khan is gearing up for his next big project, King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film holds special significance as it will feature his daughter, Suhana Khan, making her debut alongside him. The movie will also star Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist, promising an exciting lineup for fans eagerly awaiting its release.
