Shama Sikander told Bollywood life: “The industry has changed dramatically, and for the better. Young producers today are far more professional and respectful of others. They have no concept of sex for work. Producers have previously expressed an interest in becoming friends with me. I was thinking, how can we be friends if we don’t collaborate? I believe that asking for sex in exchange for work is the lowest of lows. You’d have to be a really insecure person to do that. Some of these producers and makers were well-known industry figures. It proves that you lack confidence in your ability to win a woman’s heart organically. However, the casting couch is not limited to Bollywood. It occurs everywhere.”
