Travis Barker was reportedly released from the hospital after six days. “Travis has now been discharged and is at home recovering with the help of his family on July 4th,” a source told The Sun on Monday, July 4.
Travis Barker later confirmed that the sudden and potentially fatal pancreatitis attack was caused by a recent colonoscopy that resulted in the removal of a small polyp. On Saturday, July 2, he posted on social media, “I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great.” Things changed a few hours later. “However, following dinner, I experienced excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since,” he explained. “During the endoscopy, a very small polyp was removed right in a very sensitive area, which is usually handled by specialists, and unfortunately, this damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube.” This resulted in potentially fatal pancreatitis. “I am so grateful that with intensive treatment, I am now much better,” he told his millions of followers.
Kourtney, who married Travis in May in Portofino, Italy, also issued a statement. “Oh, what a terrifying and emotional week,” she said shortly after Travis’ post. “Our health is everything, and we sometimes forget how quickly it can change,” she said.
