Ultimate Kho Kho, India’s first professional Kho Kho League, is a collaboration between Amit Burman, Chairman of Dabur India Ltd, and the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI). It was established with the goal of marketing and packaging India’s indigenous sport of Kho Kho into a professional structure.
The initiative aims to elevate India’s indigenous sport to prominence and make it the most sought-after sports league in the country. The Ultimate Kho Kho League aims to raise the age-old Indian sport to international levels and provide opportunities for young talent to showcase their abilities in front of a pan-India and global audience.
In its inaugural season, the league will field six teams and will draught Kho Kho players from around the world, including England, South Korea, the Republic of Iran, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, who will compete alongside Indian players. The teams will also have the opportunity to include young players in their respective squads, which will help nurture the country’s future of Kho Kho.
Ultimate Kho Kho League Teams, Franchises, And Team Owners
Capri Global will own a franchise in Rajasthan, while KLO Sports will own the Chennai Quick Guns. The Gujarat franchise was recently acquired by Adani Sportsline, and the Telangana franchise was recently acquired by GMR Sports. The athletic league will have its first season later this year. Odisha Sports will own the fifth franchise in the Ultimate Kho Kho League. Punit Balan and Rapper Badshah are the owners of the Mumbai franchise.
Ultimate Kho Kho League Broadcasting and Streaming
The first season of Ultimate Kho Kho will premiere later this year, with Sony Pictures Networks India as its exclusive multi-year broadcast partner.
