In a strong show of solidarity, several Congress ministers, along with Telangana Deputy Chief Minister, visited the Mahaa News office and condemned the attack in the strongest terms, calling it an outrageous attempt to muzzle independent journalism. They assured full support to the media house and demanded swift action against the perpetrators.
Civil society organizations, media associations, and political leaders across the spectrum have also condemned the violence. The Press Club of Hyderabad issued a statement demanding immediate arrest and prosecution of those responsible.
