Vivek Oberoi On Breakup: Actor Vivek Oberoi recently shared a deeply personal and heartbreaking chapter form his teenage years. In an interview with Mens XP, Vivek revealed how he lost his childhood sweetheart to cancer when they were just teenagers, Speaking about their relationship, Vivek said, “I thought, ‘This is it. She’s the one.’ I envisioned us going to college together, getting married, and having kids. I had my life planned out in my mind.”
The young couple had been together for 5-6 years, but their dreams were cut short when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Recounting the devastating moment, Vivek said, “I rushed to the hospital when I found out. She was the girl of my dreams. Then, I found out she was in the final stage of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It was a complete shock. Despite everything we tried, she passed away within two months. I was broken and shattered.”

The Aftermath of Loss
Vivek confessed that her death had a profound impact on him. For years, he struggled to come to terms with the loss, admitting, “For a long time, I would see her in random people walking by.” He also shared how he initially refused to accept her passing but eventually found solace later in life by working with children battling cancer.
Vivek’s Journey Beyond Bollywood
The actor, who made a stellar debut in Bollywood with Company in 2002, enjoyed massive success in the early 2000s with hits like Masti and Dum. However, his career saw a decline (we all know why), and Vivek stepped away from the spotlight for a while. Recently, he made a string comeback through streaming platforms, appearing in Rohit Shetty‘s Indian Police Force.
Beyond films, Vivek has established himself as a successful entrepreneur with investments in real estate and various other fields, making him one of the wealthiest actors in India.
