In a shocking development in Chandrapur district, a 24-year-old youth was found dead in an abandoned state. As soon as the police arrived at the scene, investigations uncovered the disturbing truth—that the murder stemmed from an old dispute. During the probe, authorities arrested a suspect involved in selling MD drugs (mephedrone), known to be moving around the city peddling these narcotics. The incident has rattled the local community, and police are intensifying their investigation. The case is now pointing towards possible links between the drug underworld and organized criminal activity.
Exact Incident
The Korapna Police received information about an unidentified dead body lying in the area. When the police reached the spot, they became suspicious. As they began their investigation, it was revealed that this was a case of murder. The killing had occurred due to an old dispute. There had been an argument between the deceased and the accused, which escalated. During the scuffle, the accused assaulted the victim. In the tussle, the accused gave a strong push to Vishwas Malekar, causing him to fall to the ground. He suffered a severe head injury and died on the spot.
In this case, the Korapna Police have arrested the accused, Sunil Pawar. A case has been registered against him under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The post-mortem examination of the body was conducted at the Rural Hospital in Korapna.
The investigation into the incident was carried out under the guidance of SDPO Ravindra Jadhav, and led by PI Sunil Gade, with PSI Devanand Kekan, Sainath Jayabhaye, and Prabhakar Jadhav as part of the investigation team.
